In a unexpected crossover event that challenges conventional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the official release, "A strange meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous changes resonate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden cult.
The questline focuses on "bizarre trials and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Changes
The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana together with several objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
