Football Analyst Chris Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game victorious run came to an end by Sunderland before the global break, however can the English top division frontrunners recover against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus artificial intelligence, readers and a range of guests.

In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' new album, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a star of several charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity game the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday soccer team," he said.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our side for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for their star's return from injury but their offense is now more potent with Pedro and Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this fixture will be fairly close, though. Burnley are well organised and their sole home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

This suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

The singer's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.

West Ham's sole away win this campaign came at Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's manager.

So, what on earth do I go with here - will it be the Hammers extending their run under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?

I will choose Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the season started, but they have surprised a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their last four matches.

A family member told me to select Brentford striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will probably score again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.

They have not had much fortune on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are always strong at home. The visitors will try to hit them on the break but I feel the home manager's team pose much more of a threat.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality proves to be rather close. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.

They have have lots of talent in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not seen any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly capable of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of October.

But I am not do that. Instead, I truly need to continue opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good results because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.

Looking at Fulham's home form, the only team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a poor streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough one to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but might they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
